Dear Laura

First of all, may I say how sorry I am to hear of your sad news about your parents? Also I am sorry for the late reply, but sometimes my other work commitments and travel take me away from the wonderful technological world of the internet.

Regarding your parents, it is always tragic when both pass within such a short time. In fact, last year I attended two funerals, where both husband and wife had passed-away within a week of each other. Like yourself, in such trying situations, it is almost impossible to provide an answer that would take away the pain and grief.

Over the years and through ‘Spiritualist Resources”; I have answered many questions similar to the one you are asking. First of all, I might suggest you look at my many answers on Spiritualist Resources; this will give you a greater understanding and help to support you through your grieving process. Alternatively, I’m not in a position to provide a personal message to you for obvious reasons. What I can say categorically is that, irrespective of a person’s religious belief, we all move into another dimension, one of ‘Light and Peace’. Phraseology is not really that important. Even titles we give to our earthly beliefs are inconsequential, whether it is Heaven, the Spirit World, or Valhalla (which according to Norse mythology was located in Asgard and ruled by the god Odin). The key is simple; we all move forward to reach our destiny, in the ‘Great Golden Light of Eternity’. It is neither here nor there as to whether you are Christian, Sikh, Taoist, Buddhist, Spiritualist, or Atheist. Once we move away from this world, we enter into a dimension of greater awareness and opportunity. The next dimension doesn’t need the material restrictions, or narrow-mindedness of this world, because we free from the limitations of matter. My old spiritual teacher and mentor Jack Corbett used to say: “There are many pathways, but only one horizon. For each pathway, like a religion, takes you through the trials and tribulations of this life; until we all reach the same horizon and that horizon is home, and each day, we take a step nearer home”.

To conclude, if your parents were close I am sure they will be together in the next dimension. Love is the great bond, which holds all things together; as such, this wonderful bond unites you with your loved ones through all of eternity.

Showers of Blessings

Stephen
