I posted some photos of Mount Soledad a few years ago, but here are more views from more angles. This is one of the most beautiful places in San Diego and I want to celebrate it with more photos. Here they are:

The big white cross viewed from the East:

Viewed from the ring road, South:

View of the North (towards Los Angeles):

Looking North towards the ocean:

Looking to the West, to the ocean, on an overcast morning - still beautiful:

Looking South, towards the ring road and towards San Diego:

Looking South East:

Looking East:

Looking West, towards the ocean - You might have noticed in the previous shots and here too that there are photos lining the walls around the cross. This is because this site is a Memorial. These are photos of military people who died on duty during times of war. A friend of mine has this sticker at the back of his pickup truck: FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!
