"On March 7, 1952, the great guru entered mahasamadhi, a God‑illumined masterís conscious exit from the body at the time of physical death" (source: website of Yogananda's Self Realization Fellowship). Below, the entrance hall of the Biltmore Hotel, downtown Los Angeles, next to the room where Yogananda passed to Spirit.

SRF Retreat and Hermitage in Encinitas. Just below the
bluff is Swami's Beach, named in honor of Yogananda:

The Mahatma Gandhi World Peace Memorial at Lake Shrine.
The plaque reads "Dedicated to world Brotherhood on August 20,
1950 by Paramahansa Yogananda and Lt. Gov. Goodwin Knight.
The memorial contains a portion of the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi."

Yogananda's resting place at the Great Mausoleum
of Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale (north of LA).
The centennial plaque (bottom of photo) 1893-1993 reads
"O Lord... may I be able to awaken thy love in all hearts"
